Apple is dropping macOS Tahoe (macOS 26), and if you make music on a Mac, I wanted to actually test it before y’all just hit “Update” and start crying in the studio. I’m 30KillaBeatz, and in this video I’m running the RC build of Tahoe and checking the real stuff that matters for producers: iLok, DAWs, and plugins. I also show the new Liquid Glass design (I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been loving it) and the updated Spotlight—because it’s way more powerful now, even for quick workflow moves. The biggest takeaway is simple: iLok Manager works on Tahoe for me, and that’s the main thing you need to verify because if iLok doesn’t work, none of the paid software you depend on is working either. I open FL Studio, Pro Tools, and a bunch of plugins (UAD, Softube/Soft Clip, and even the Heritage Audio Successor compressor plugin) and everything loads and runs smooth on my system. I skipped covering the early betas because people were reporting they were really bad, but the RC version I’m on has been stable so far. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, I’m not seeing a reason not to—just do it smart and make sure your core tools are good first.
