In this ranked session, I’m actually trying to IGL and play attack like I’ve got a brain—less “full sprint every round,” more tactical clears, drones, and setting up the team. We get into Thermite specifically, and I show the spicy part: placing the charge on the floor above to pop the wall from a spot people don’t expect. We literally test it mid-round—“did you put it here?”—and when it works, it’s one of those moments where you can feel the whole push open up. But it’s not all clean Siege science. There’s whiffs, panic, and the classic ranked chaos where comms are either god-tier or absolutely useless. I’m calling out pings, setting up plants, playing vert, and trying to keep the vibes from turning into a courtroom. You’ll see how I’m thinking about taking lobby, opening key walls, and protecting the plant—while also dealing with teammates selling, people talking trash from the grave, and the ever-present hacker/anti-cheat talk. Takeaway: drone first, use vert with purpose, and if you’re gonna get weird with Thermite… at least make it win rounds.
