It’s Taiwan Day 7 and I’m taking you with me for our last night — and I saved the biggest night market for the finale. We’re at Shilin Night Market and it’s honestly one of those places that feels like the whole world is happening at once: food everywhere, loads of toys and games, and even a cute little DIY drawing station. Also… does anyone else have a boyfriend who always walks ahead? Because mine is literally rushing while I’m trying to stroll and soak it all in. Real-life travel moment though: we were in a bit of a cash predicament because we only had a little bit left and didn’t want to withdraw again since we’re flying tomorrow. So we had to be frugal and strategic — which meant choosing our snacks wisely. We queued for these insanely long French fries with squeeze-on sauces (I went honey mustard), and then we ended the trip the only way that made sense: Taiwanese fried chicken. The chicken was genuinely massive — like bigger than my head — and it felt like the perfect, chaotic, delicious way to officially close out our Taiwan trip with Mason with us.
