About This Video

In this video, I’m sharing my new Pinterest-style intro template and walking you through how I edit it step-by-step in Filmora. I tried tutorial narration for the first time and I don’t hate it 😳—so if you’re a beginner who wants to make your own aesthetic YouTube intro (and outro), we’re literally doing it together. I start by prepping everything you’ll need: an avatar icon, a main image or video, 8 thumbnail images, and (optionally) 4 darker-tint versions if you want that cute hover effect. Inside Filmora, I show you how I drag the green screen template onto the timeline, match the frame rate, and place every image layer underneath the template (this part matters). Then I remove the green screen using AI Matting, tweak tolerance (I used 20), lock the template layer so nothing shifts, and resize everything precisely using the pop-up controls. After that, I add the optional hover effect by matching the position/scale of your darker images, and I share a little tip for copying/pasting layers when the cursor bounces between thumbnails. Finally, I add the main background image, place my avatar + text on top of the template, and export in MP4 with the highest resolution possible (I double it for 4K). I also share my honest thoughts on Filmora vs free editors—and why I’m not sponsored, I just like having more control.
