Planning a trip to Japan was overwhelming… and we kicked it off strong by missing our flight to Osaka (lol). But honestly, it felt like a sign to just embrace the journey and go with the flow. In this spring vlog, I’m taking you through my very first Japan trip—starting in Osaka with our first meal (those little dancing bonito flakes hehe), a quick stop at a salon for my partner’s first perm, and then a day trip to Kyoto where choosing an outfit was half the fun. I tried a kimono rental that even included free hair styling for ladies, and I was sooo happy with my final look. From there, we did Universal Studios Japan (yes, Super Nintendo World!) and I’m sharing the tips I wish I knew—like getting express passes early, using single rider, and where to grab butter beer without wasting your time in a long queue. Then we slowed down in Fuji with a rented car, a room view that genuinely made me feel like I could live there forever, and some very memorable food moments (including accidentally ordering horse sashimi…). We wrapped in Tokyo with Shinjuku, teamLabs Planets, Shibuya Sky (windy!), Asakusa, Kappabashi kitchenware shopping, and some of the best sushi/sashimi I’ve ever had—100/10. ‘Till next time ♡
