In this video I take a quick nostalgia trip through 26 years of Goku’s best friend by putting my early 2000s Krillin figures up against what we’re getting today. I start with my old Irwin Toys Krillin (and the Jakks era stuff) to show you exactly what we were working with back then—simpler sculpts, rougher paint, and that “toy aisle” vibe that a lot of us grew up on. Then I jump to the modern glow-up with S.H.Figuarts Krillin “Son Goku’s Old Friend,” and it’s honestly wild seeing the difference side-by-side. I unbox the SHF Krillin, go through the heads and accessories, and talk about the little details that make it feel collector-grade—plus I call out where I’ve seen that ki blast effect before. After that I run through articulation, what poses actually work, and the stuff that still bugs me (because no figure is perfect). I also do some Krillin action figure photography and show how he scales and fits in with the rest of the Namek saga lineup, which is a big deal if you’re building diorama scenes or just trying to get your shelf display looking right.
