Hello there—what’s up guys, Unofficial Lego here. In this video I’m talking about a brand new rumor for the LEGO Star Wars summer 2024 wave: a Death Star playset, reportedly set number 7539. The big headline is the price, because the word is this thing could retail for around $80 in the United States. Compared to the older Death Star playsets that were like $500–$600 and basically unobtainable for a lot of people, this is a way more grounded option that more fans can actually pick up. Now obviously, with an $80 price point, we’re not getting the same massive experience as the old versions with 25+ minifigures. What I’m hearing is at least eight minifigures, and I’m expecting the “base” lineup like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader to be included. We also don’t know the exact build yet—whether LEGO goes back to the classic round sphere vibe or does something flatter and more compact. On top of that, there’s reportedly a ninth minifigure tied to the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars: Cal Kestis, similar to how we’re also getting special figures like Fives, Darth Malak, and a young Leia spread across other 2024 sets.
