For this weekend run, I packed the rig the usual way—everything goes into the Bush canopy and on the Mammoth bed slide—then we drove out to Firefly Coast Nature Camp in Quezon Province. After around 3 hours, we reached Cala De Oro / Galadoro, registered at their front desk, and one of the staff guided us straight to the campsite. I camped at the “Ginmark” spot, which is a raw, beachfront area with a wide open view, trees for shade, and enough space for a couple of rigs down low plus a few more up top. What I like here is how scenic it is even if it’s rocky and basic—this is real raw camping. There are no CRs or amenities right beside the Ginmark spot, but the good thing is Firefly Coast is owned by the Cala De Oro resort, so if you don’t want to fully rough it, you can just cross over and use their bathroom. After a quick swim, I did a simple rinse using a collapsible bucket and my Mammoth shower awning (honestly I was too lazy to change and walk to the resort). Before heading out, I also showed a quick rig/setup tour: UVP underbody protection, aligned and rotated tires, my Adventure Kings Grand Tour RT, the 270° freestanding awning, and my EcoFlow dual battery setup—basically my essentials for staying comfortable off-grid.
