The chill camping crew is back, and after months of trying to line up schedules, we finally pushed through for another off-grid weekend at The Preserve in Tanay. We met up at Petron Hill Puyat, rolled out as a convoy, and after a couple of bars we were back at our spot—straight to lunch at the gazebo hut before doing what we always do: a “quick” trail run that turns into a proper test session. I wanted to test the Radar Renegade R/T Plus on an actual off-road river crossing, and of course, it was sunny… then it started raining again right when we got to the first crossing. As always, I went first to check depth and line, and it ended up deeper than I expected. We still made it through, but we decided to head back after the second crossing before the rain got stronger and the water level rose. Back at camp, I took the break in the rain to unbox and set up new Adventure Kings / Overland Kings gear—awning wall, LED light kit, hanging caddy, dashboard organizer, and I also did a closer look at the Kings Grand Tourer Mk3 rooftop tent upgrades. We even did a bit of “car guy” tinkering and ended up breaking EES’ fuel cap spring—good thing we had zip ties and some bush mechanics. Rain or shine, it was good trails, good laughs, and good company.
