What’s up everybody — this is that long overdue update video I’ve been putting off for a minute. I finally sat down to explain where I’ve been, why the uploads slowed down, and what’s actually changing going forward. The biggest thing I wanted to be straight up about is burnout. When you lock into a super specific niche (like audio-only content), and you’ve been doing it consistently for years like I have since 2019, it’s really easy to hit a wall—especially when you feel like you’ve already covered most of the topics you originally wanted to make. The other side of it is just real life: YouTube is a hobby for me. It doesn’t pay my bills, and I’ve got a day job and responsibilities, so content had to take a back seat. But the reason I’m able to come back strong now is because my job needed marketing videos, and instead of hiring a production crew, we built out a budget for gear—and my “compensation” is I get to keep the whole setup. So now I’m filming on a Sony FX30 with a Sigma 16mm, plus a proper audio rig again.
