Atlanta was predicted to get 2–4 inches, and even though the snow hadn’t started yet, I wanted to get ahead of it with a realistic weekly Walmart order for my family of five—no panic buying, just staying calm, fed, and home if the roads get bad. I had the kids write down what they wanted (Chipotle bowls, chili, tacos… and yes, Pop-Tarts), then I sat down with my meal plan and did what I always say: write the vision, make it plain. Writing our breakfast, lunch, and dinner out has been a game changer for keeping me on track with my grocery budget, especially in a busy working-mom season. In this haul I shared what I bought, what got substituted (because everybody was shopping), and how I’m using it all week: Chipotle bowls, tuna, tacos, and chili—each meal under $25.
