About This Video

Hi, my friend—this video is me finally doing what y’all have been telling me to do: try ALDI for my family of five and see if I can stay under $150 for the week. Before I even walked in the store, I shopped my fridge, freezer, deep freezer, pantry, and cabinets so I could plan dinners around what we already had. I’m big on being intentional, giving myself grace, and not falling into that never-ending “let me clean this first” cycle (because moms know how fast that spirals). I wrote out dinners first—because lunches are usually leftovers—and then I added everything to my weekly meal plan and my Skylight so everybody can stay on track. Then we headed into ALDI with a list (and yes, I was nervous because it was crowded). I grabbed the basics for realistic family meals: chicken breast, tortillas for burritos, fruit, frozen veggies, canned green beans, potatoes, breakfast items, and a big take-and-bake pizza for an easy Friday night. The experience was good if you go in with a plan—even though the line was long and I missed a few things like bananas, seasonings, and eggs (a dozen won’t do nothing for my house). And the best part? I spent $107 total, even with a pair of shoes—so yes… I’m officially seeing why y’all kept saying, “Go to ALDI.”
