In this video I’m taking a look at the Wyze Battery Video Doorbell. It’s battery powered and wireless, so it’s a nice option if you don’t feel like messing with wiring right away. I do a quick unboxing so you can see exactly what comes in the box—your bracket, the angle plate, screws and mollies, the USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and the hardwire terminals if you want to hook it up to power instead of running it on battery. I also break down the doorbell itself so you know what you’re looking at: PIR sensor up top, the lens, light sensor, microphone, status light, and the button. On the bottom you’ve got the speaker for two-way talk, and on the back you’ve got USB-C for charging plus screw terminals for hardwiring. The big takeaway is setup is very easy—download the Wyze app (iOS or Android) and it walks you through everything, and you can even share access with someone in your household. Once it’s mounted, when somebody rings it, it pops up on your phone like a call and the audio is very clear. I mounted mine using the angle plate and it’s working great with no problems.
