In this video I’m taking a look at the MANAYO phono preamp, model PM6BT, that was sent to me. I unbox it, show you what comes in the package (power supply, antenna, ground wire, RCA cable, and a 3.5mm adapter), and then I walk you through the connections so you can see exactly how it’s supposed to be set up. On the front you’ve got bass, treble, and volume controls, plus a headphone jack and the switch for power/Bluetooth. The big thing I wanted to show is how easy it is to use this with a turntable that does NOT have a built-in preamp (that’s my situation). I hook my turntable into the PM6BT, set it to phono, and then I use it in Bluetooth transmitter mode to send the audio to my Bluetooth speaker. I also show the wired option using line-in, and what cables you may need depending on whether your speaker takes 3.5mm or RCA. Overall it’s a nice, sturdy metal unit, it’s straightforward, and it made my turntable setup work perfectly so I can actually enjoy my records again—day or night, it’s time for streaming.
