So, hi everybody—today I’m showing you a great app you can put onto your Roku that a lot of people don’t talk about: Plex. In this video I give you an inside look at what Plex looks like on Roku, and why I think it’s excellent to have. You can browse by genre, check “What’s on now” for Live TV, and jump into popular shows and different sections like Bingeworthy, Black Cinema on Demand, and more. The big thing I like is it’s always being updated and it always works well, so you’re not stuck with something that looks good one day and breaks the next. I also walk you through the install the easy way: from your Roku home screen go to Search, type in “Plex” (P-L-E-X), install it, and open it up. After that, I show you a simple tip that makes a big difference—hit the star button on your remote and choose “Move to top.” That way, when you turn on your Roku, Plex is right there at the beginning of the screen and you don’t have to keep searching for it.
