In this video I’m showing you an app that everybody has been talking about that is no longer available to download, and it’s getting blocked on Amazon devices. I’m on my Fire Stick 4K Max (2nd gen) and I walk you right to the Apps section so you can see it for yourself. The app is Cinema, and when I try to open it, I get the message: “App disabled… identified as using or providing access to unlicensed content.” At that point, Fire OS basically gives you two choices—dismiss or uninstall—and dismiss doesn’t do anything. I also talk about the bigger picture: Amazon has been blocking a lot of third-party apps, and even if you find clones, they can get shut down too. The Cinema developer put out a notice saying development and support has been permanently discontinued, so don’t be surprised if it’s gone for good. My takeaway is simple—be careful with workarounds, and if you’re using any third-party apps, use a VPN.
