So, people are saying Downloader has a new update—Downloader 2.0—so in this video I jump on my Fire Stick 4K Max (2nd gen) and show you exactly how to find it, install/update it, and then verify the version you’re actually running. I go Home > Find > Search, type in Downloader, and you’ll see right on the app page that it’s updated to version 2.0.0. From there I walk through what’s new so you know what changed and where everything moved. The big takeaway is the redesigned TV interface with that all-in-one address bar (URLs, short codes, and searches all in one spot) plus the new edge-to-edge browser view that’s noticeably larger. I also like the new pound sign/hashtag button because it brings up a numeric keypad for shortcut codes, which makes life way easier. And the files menu now includes a delete option (including delete all files), which is great for keeping your Fire TV storage cleaned up.
