So, hi everybody and welcome to the channel. In this video I’m taking a look at the ASA USB 3.0 capture card. I unbox it so you can see exactly what it looks like, the ports it has (HDMI in, HDMI out, headphone jack, mic jack), and what you get in the box like the user manual, the quick cheat card, and the warranty card. Right away, I like that it’s made of metal with an aluminum shield because it’s built better than those plastic ones and it’s designed to dissipate heat a lot better. Then I hook it up and show you how I’m using it inside OBS. I’ve got my Android device going into the HDMI in, and then the capture card goes into my computer with the included USB-C to USB-A cable, so you’ve got options depending on what your computer takes. In OBS I just hit the plus sign, add a Video Capture Device, select “USB 3.0 capture,” and you’re good to go—plug and play with no extra software. The big takeaway is the speed: it’s 1080p capture with 4K zero-delay pass-through, and when I’m clicking around on the device, there’s no delay and the picture is crystal clear.
