So today I'm going to be talking about the various scanning options that Norton provides, how to use them, and generally trying to familiarize you with them and what they do. So if that interests you, then check it out. So now that we know what we need to do, let's actually go and do it. So let's check out what scans we have available. So at first glance, you're gonna see quick scan, but we're not going to click on that, because there's a lot more where that came from. So go over here to the right where the open button is, but don't click on the Open Mon, go to the arrow and open the drop down menu. And this is where you're going to see all of the scans that we have. So the Quick Scan is the most surface level quick scan that you have, it's not going too deep into the system. But it's checking out the things that can possibly affect your computer at first glance, right. And then we have full scan, the full scan goes through every nook and cranny meticulously checking your computer to eliminate any threats that are lurking about. And to actually do a scan, just press on whatever one you want, press go and it will do what it needs to do. So we're going to back out of that, because we're not going to go through the whole process later on this scan will actually show up when we talk about the scan history. But we'll get there. And so next up we have the custom scan. So with this you can schedule automatic scans on a file folder or driver or a driver guest on a driver and go through that itself. And it will automatically take care of that once you determine you know what time interval you want. So for example, let's create a full scan. And you can pick the Drive folder or file here, schedule it weekly, whatever, at what time and then you can fiddle around with the settings there. And yeah, you can also create your own named scheduled scan. So call it whatever you want out of folder, we're going to add this folder and then go next and do the same thing that you did previously. So that's how that works in general, right. And so next up, we're going to go to the Norton Power Eraser. The Norton Power Eraser is basically the most aggressive one because it has the capacity to delete certain files on your computer, but you do have the ability to recover them. So as it says here, it's very aggressive. So you should know that you can recover them. So this will scrub everything that you possibly could find problematic on your computer. The Norton insight determines which files need to be scanned, so you don't need to go too far into that. Remove risks only high certainty ones or just ignore them when you're away. So you can have it do it always. So it doesn't have to ask you only high certainty ones. Or once you come back, you can have it asked you Hey, this is what we found. How do you want to deal with this. So that's what you can do if you want to deal with the risks and how you want to deal with them accordingly. Oh, and before I let you go, we should probably talk about those scan results that I mentioned at the beginning, right. Why not? Let's see if there's anything nasty in there. So yeah, it's gonna go through this process and we'll speed this up in Edit. So yeah, that's all I really have to say I don't believe I'm forgetting anything. We've covered all of the aspects that I wanted to touch upon for today's video.
