Here is a quiet glimpse into my life as an artist living in Japan between studio days, creating new rituals, moments of doubt and inspiration. In todays vlog, I take you inside my process as I work painting at the art studio, process my feelings and try again. It’s not always romantic or clear; sometimes it’s messy, uncertain, and very vulnerable to be a creative person. I am grateful to feel everything so deeply. I also take you on a little adventure! In the afternoon we step outside the studio and into Kyoto, exploring the streets of Gion, wandering through the historic district of Gion district, and learning more about the traditions of the geiko and maiko (geisha culture) that have shaped this place for so many years.
