I’ve officially made the switch from web development to data analytics, and in this video I’m walking you through the realization that changed everything for me. I’ve always loved tech (I still do), and I’ll always appreciate how web development lets you build something from nothing. But I kept feeling like I was missing the chance to create more direct impact—work that brings clarity, insight, and real change to the people and problems I care about. What helped me pivot was looking back at every role I’ve had and noticing the same pattern: I love talking to stakeholders, understanding pain points, gathering requirements, analyzing the best solution, and then presenting findings in a way that makes technical things clear for non-technical people. I was scared to leave what I’d always known, and I didn’t want to feel like I was starting from scratch—but I realized I already had a foundation of transferable skills. To deepen my data skills without getting overwhelmed building my own curriculum, I invested in Kedeisha Bryan’s program, and having mentors and guidance has been invaluable. Going forward, I’m excited to explore the data space (especially healthcare and mental health), while still sharing calm productivity, wellness, and mom life in a way that feels balanced and sustainable.
