In this video, I take you with me on a yarn shopping trip where I stumble into the most tempting thing ever: a whole aisle of clearance yarn—$3, $5, and $7—and shelves that are actually stocked for once. And yes… I absolutely had that familiar moment of standing there thinking, “I want this,” “I don’t need this,” and “but what if I regret it?” If you’ve ever had that tug-of-war in your brain in the yarn aisle, you’re going to feel seen. But this one isn’t really about the yarn. I’m in the middle of a big transition right now—moving my entire stash from my studio back home—and that clearance aisle hit different. Instead of grabbing “just in case” skeins, I realized what I actually need is clarity, not more yarn. This is part of my Untangle With Me journey: using yarn as a gentle way to work through overwhelm, shifting identity, and learning how to take care of myself again. The takeaway is simple but not easy: sometimes the best stash move is walking away—so future-you has less to sort, store, and stress about.
