Today I’m setting up what I’m calling my Yarn Car Studio—because if you crochet like I do, you end up crocheting everywhere. Appointments, waiting on grandkids, little adventures… and I got tired of either being unprepared or letting yarn chaos explode in my car. So in this video I build a simple, removable setup that keeps my projects and tools together without turning my backseat into a yarn landfill. My whole system is based on three rules: reachable, removable, repeatable. I show you my removable yarn tub, my “two-project rule” (because more than that is how I lose my mind), and the little hook/tool kit setup that makes the whole thing actually functional. I also walk through how I transport yarn between my house and my car studio so it’s easy to reset and easy to keep under control. This is part of my bigger stash journey—creating systems that work with my brain instead of against it—because yarn collecting is wonderful, but yarn chaos? Not so much. Untangling the yarn… is untangling life.
