If you feel overwhelmed by your yarn stash or have too many crochet and knitting WIPs going at once, you’re not alone. In this video, I’m sharing how I limited myself to just 3 yarn WIPs and started organizing my yarn stash for clarity, focus, and creative freedom. This is Step 1 of my yarn organization journey — moving all of my yarn into one place, resetting my crochet and knitting projects, and creating a simple 3-WIP rule to stop creative overwhelm. For years, I had too many works-in-progress, too much yarn in multiple locations, and constant mental clutter. Over the past month, I slowly worked through organizing my yarn stash, packing everything up, bringing it to my yarn house, and allowing myself only three active projects at a time: • One project at home • One project at my yarn studio • One portable crochet or knitting project for the car In this video, I share: • Why too many WIPs were affecting my creativity • How limiting myself to 3 projects changed my focus • What I learned during this month-long yarn reset • The first step to organizing a large yarn collection If you’re a yarn collector, crocheter, or knitter struggling with too many unfinished projects, yarn clutter, or stash overwhelm, this video is for you. This is just the beginning — Step 2 of my yarn organization process is coming soon. ✨ Let’s move from yarn chaos to creative clarity together. ⸻ 🌸 FIND ME & JOIN THE YARN GEEK COMMUNITY 🧵 YouTube: https://youtube.com/@theYarnGeek 📸 Instagram: https://instagram.com/yarn.geek 🧶 Facebook Group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/yarngeeks 🌐 Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/YarnGeekCreates 🧵 Ravelry: https://www.ravelry.com/people/yarngeekcreations 🧵 Ribblr: https://ribblr.com/shop/yarn-geek/ 🫴 YARN I LOVE (Affiliate Links) Some of these are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission (aka yarn cash 💜) at no extra cost to you. About This Video

In this video, I’m walking you through the very first step of my yarn organization journey—and it starts with one simple boundary: I stopped myself at 3 active yarn projects. For years, I had WIPs everywhere, yarn in multiple locations, and this constant low-grade mental clutter that made it hard to actually enjoy making. So over the past month, I did a slow reset: I packed up my yarn, moved it all into one place (my yarn house), and gave myself a clear rule—three projects only. My 3-WIP rule looks like this: one project at home, one project at my yarn studio, and one portable project for the car. That’s it. I share why having “too many going at once” was messing with my creativity, how limiting my options actually gave me more freedom, and what I learned while I worked through this month-long stash move. If you’re overwhelmed by unfinished projects or your stash feels like it’s running you, this is your permission slip to simplify—calm stash systems, cozy makes, and a brain reset included. Step 2 is coming soon.
