Last night I stepped away from yarn and hooks to go see my son and his band, Barefoot Cult, play a free show outside Love Garden Sounds. There was free hot chocolate, a whole lot of holiday spirit, and the kind of cozy, friendly crowd that reminds me why I love community—whether it’s yarnie people or music people. It was absolutely freezing, but honestly? The cold didn’t matter because everyone was so nice and the vibe was just fun. And before you ask—yes, they really weren’t wearing shoes. I’m a proud mom, and I had the best time watching him do his thing. The takeaway is simple: your stash will still be there tomorrow. Sometimes the best reset for your yarn (and your brain) is to go live your life and come back to your projects with fresh energy.
