About This Video

Hey, so what’s going on everyone? In this Windows 11 quick how-to, I’m showing you exactly how to change where the NVIDIA app saves your screenshots and screen recordings. By default, NVIDIA dumps everything on your C drive under your Videos folder, and on occasion when I’m screen recording or grabbing screenshots, that can eat up space fast. So I walk you through the in-game overlay steps: press Alt + Z, hit the little gear icon for Settings, then go into Files and Disk Space, and change the Gallery location (that’s the main spot your recordings land). I also show you a couple important details people miss. First, when you change the save location, NVIDIA doesn’t automatically move your old files—it leaves them behind in the original folder. If you want everything in one place, you’ll need to manually cut/paste the older clips into the new drive. And when you test a new recording, you’ll notice NVIDIA creates a “Desktop” folder inside your new Videos location, so if you want things nice and neat, you can move your older recordings into that same folder. After that, anything new you record will save to the new drive going forward.
