About This Video

In this review, I put the NuPhy Node75 through real daily use—long typing sessions, moving between devices, and the usual mix of productivity and light gaming—to see if the headline feature is actually useful. Yes, it has a touch bar, but it’s not the kind you’re probably thinking about. NuPhy split the top of the board into a left dot-matrix LED panel for status (battery, connection mode, caps lock, typing activity) and a right touch surface that supports swipes and taps. Out of the box it handles volume and brightness, and you can customize it in NuPhy IO for macros, apps, or lighting. The bigger story is balance. The 75% layout (84 keys) keeps the function row, arrows, and nav keys while cutting bulk, so it feels well judged if you want more mouse room or a cleaner desk. Even with an ABS plastic case, it stays light (around 659g) and avoids distracting flex. I also like the typing experience for a low-profile board: hot-swappable low-profile switches (linear, tactile, or silent), plus a gasket mount and polycarbonate plate that keep the sound from getting harsh or echoey. Connectivity is solid with USB-C, 2.4GHz (1,000Hz polling), and Bluetooth 5.0, and the 30,000mAh battery lasts days with RGB—or weeks with lights off—while still being usable during charging.
