In this video I show you exactly where Zoom recordings are saved on a laptop, because most people think the file is “missing” when it’s actually sitting in the default Zoom folder. On Windows, I walk you through File Explorer to the usual path: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Documents\Zoom (and in my case it was inside OneDrive Documents). On Mac, I explain the Finder path: /Users/[YourUsername]/Documents/Zoom. I also show the easiest method inside the Zoom desktop app itself—go to Meetings, open the Recorded tab, select your meeting, and click Open to jump straight to the folder. I also explain how Zoom organizes each meeting into its own dated sub-folder, and the video file is usually named zoom_0.mp4, so you know what to look for. If you recorded to the cloud, I point you to the Zoom Web Portal under Recordings > Cloud Recordings. And because storage becomes a real issue with long HD/4K meetings, I share the idea of changing your default recording location to another drive so your laptop SSD doesn’t fill up.
