In this video I’m wrapping up my durability-unit talk by focusing specifically on durability units that can run Preemptive Strike in SD G Gen Eternal. I’ll be real: Preemptive Strike isn’t the hottest option on paper, because durability units don’t always get to capitalize on it with how positioning works. But the whole point is—what if you slap a DPS pilot onto a durability frame? If you can attack first instead of just sitting there “defending,” the value starts to make a lot more sense. From what I can gather, there are around nine units that can access Preemptive Strike, and I go through the ones that actually matter. The standout is AGE-1 Assault Jacket because it has Preemptive Strike built in with a solid 3–4 range, plus an attack down effect that helps you tank while still contributing damage. I also talk about units like the Cassid (hit-or-miss since the Preemptive Strike is tied to a beam saber), and why The O is a really good upgrade target thanks to strong tags and utility like mobility down for dodgy bosses. At the end of the day, I don’t think you need to dump tons of resources into durability SSPs—upgrade smart, and save mats for DPS/support unless your roster really needs it.
