It’s two days before the new event, and of course they drop a new banner on us: UR Astray Red Frame Custom and Gold Frame Amatsu Mina. In this video I’m basically reacting to the reveal, checking out the animation, and trying to figure out if this is one of those “I’m cooked” limited-time situations. Spoiler: Red Frame Custom is a limited-time battery unit, so yeah… we’re in a rough spot if you’re trying to save diamonds. I also talk through why Red Frame Custom could be a serious problem (in a good way). We’ve already got Shin who you can consider the best melee pilot right now, and Red Frame is a melee unit—so I’m thinking it has a real shot at being top-tier DPS, potentially even competing with God Gundam depending on the kit. Meanwhile, Gold Frame Amatsu Mina is defensive and non-limited, so that one is way easier to justify skipping or picking up later. My biggest takeaway is still the same: anniversary is around the corner. We’ve got multiple banners between now and the one-year, and I don’t want you summoning on everything and then realizing you’ve got no diamonds left when it actually matters. Wait for the full unit details before you commit, and make a decision based on how much the unit/pilot helps your account—not just hype.
