ST-09 Destiny Ignition (the “Ultimate Deck”) is dropping in about two weeks, and the official page already showed the full roster—so in this video I preview every card and call out what’s actually new versus straight reprints. The big catch is: almost everything in here isn’t brand new. You’re basically looking at 10 new cards, and then the rest is reprints/alt arts, plus the idea that you can swap cards with the extra pool they’re talking about. For the new stuff, I focus on the Impulse line (Force/Blast/Sword) and how nasty the sequencing can be if you’re already comfortable filling your trash. Force Impulse bouncing itself to the bottom to deploy a Level 4+ Impulse from trash is spicy, but you still have to see how consistently you can set it up. Sword Impulse rewarding you for coming out of the trash and sniping a Level 3 or lower unit is a real tempo swing. Saber Gundam is the other standout to me—its link turn wipe for 2 damage to all units with 5 or less AP (if you’ve got 5+ purple in trash) looks strong on paper. I also talk about the new Freedom (situational suppression tied to keeping a base), Giant Killing being powerful but awkward because the target must be active, and why it’s still unfortunate they left out core Strike/Justice stuff—especially with the ST01–ST06 reprints also coming soon. At the end of the day, I leave it to you: is ST-09 actually “value,” or are you mostly paying for reprints and nice arts?
