This is my first time doing a deck profile like this, but I had to share it because I hit Top 4 (and landed 2nd place overall) in my second Newtype Challenge this season. I was undefeated until the very last match, and I’m keeping that “dolphin Kira” prize as a reminder because it’s honestly just cool. The list is Purple/Red (not the Blue variant), and the whole idea is simple: survive the early game, ping efficiently, and then slam the later-game threats once I’m set up. I go over the full deck list—units, pilots, commands, and bases—and why the pings matter so much (Battle of Aces, Improved Technique, and that one Fatal Strike). My pilot lineup is built around making Nen mandatory, since she fits both G-Fred and Omega Saikcomu, and she even patches Casatria by fulfilling the Newtype portion so I can push damage combos. I also talk through my rounds: beating The O + Unicorn package, taking down two Blue/Purple ultra-aggro decks by stabilizing into G-Fred and Saikcomu turns, and then losing the final to a Wing deck once I got too low on shield. Biggest takeaway: if you can drag Blue/Purple into later turns and find your Casatria/Marina lane or Saikcomu lines, you can absolutely beat the worst matchups.
