In this video I hop into the rare boss stage and fight the SEED X Astray, which is sitting at about 1.04 million HP. Before I even swing, I break down why my setup looks the way it does: I’m running a Protagonist team with SSP Lupus, two Freedoms, and a Destiny. Destiny’s job is simple—get that attack down debuff on the boss—while I also bring a defensive unit to lower special weapon power because X Astray loves throwing out a map attack and I’m trying to mitigate as much damage as possible. The big headache here is accuracy. I’m not gonna lie, I already don’t really like the event because you’ll see those 80-something percent chances still whiff, and it can spoil the whole run. Yeah, I could run mobility down to make it cleaner, but who actually does that, right? Once things start landing, the fight becomes way more manageable: I keep MP up, stack debuffs (attack down, special/beam tradeoffs), heal when Lupus starts looking scary, and then I just hammer it with support chains from the Freedoms. It’s a little tedious the way I do it, but it works—two teams, steady debuffs, controlled damage intake, and the boss goes down.
