Today on Southern Accent Foods I'll show you how to cook an easy recipe for chicken salad. ------- Key Moments: 00:00 Intro 00:27 Get medieval 00:47 Celeries 01:01 Addressing an onion 02:08 Dump & stir 02:55 Abominations 03:23 Cover me 03:30 Finis ------- CHICKEN SALAD 3-4 cups of pulled or diced roasted chicken meat (store-bought rotisserie chickens are great here) ½ rib celery, finely diced 1 shallot or 1 small onion, finely diced Salt, pepper, and (optional) cayenne pepper, to taste ½ to 1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lemon juice Optional: 2-3 dashes or more of your favorite hot sauce ¼ cup good quality mayonnaise, more or less, according to your taste preference Garnish: Paprika, chives, parsley, and/or cayenne pepper Place all ingredients into a large bowl and stir to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for the flavors to blend, at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
