About This Video

This is my final declutter of the year (and yes, I was a little under the weather, so bear with the breathy voice). I only have three drawers of makeup and I like to keep everything current because I actually use what I own—and I review a lot, so I want to start 2026 feeling fresh. Drawer one is all about the “base” category: primers, powders, foundations, concealers, brows, and mascaras. I’m keeping most of my glowy primers even though I’m not as into glow right now (I’m craving more skin-like or even mattifying), but I’m being realistic about what I reach for. I also set aside a mini “project pan” pile because I kept saying “this is almost finished,” and it’s time to prove it. Drawer two is blush/bronzer/highlighter/liner territory, and this is where I made some tougher calls—especially on older cream products. I decluttered anything that smelled off, was cracking at the seams, or was simply getting lost in the shuffle (including a few PR bronzey blushes and an Elevated Glow that smelled genuinely awful). Drawer three is lips and eyes, and I did a full sniff test on liquid and stick shadows—because if it smells rancid, it’s gone, no matter how pretty it is. The big takeaway: I’m not trying to be a minimalist with the number of products—I’m trying to be intentional, keep what I’ll actually use, and stop letting my drawers give me the ick.
