Emergent AI just exploded in popularity, so I wanted to answer the only question that matters: is it actually good when you push it past a toy project? Most “reviews” on YouTube are sponsored, so in this video I did a non-sponsored, real test. Instead of building a basic to-do app, I had Emergent build a full CRM like monday.com—with companies, contacts, deals, pipelines (including a Kanban view), activity tracking, and a dashboard. I also used image uploads as UI inspiration (with the disclaimer that you shouldn’t copy anyone’s IP for real projects), and I picked Claude Opus 4.6 inside Emergent to see how fast their model support is. What impressed me most is how agentic the workflow is: Emergent asks clarifying questions up front, splits work across agents, and—this is huge—actually tests what it builds and fixes issues. I also tested iteration (auto-loading sample data on new accounts) without breaking the rest of the app, and then I hit it with my hardest request: replacing a JSON-based automation rule system with a simple “when this happens, do this” automation builder with templates. It worked, end-to-end. It’s not as polished as monday CRM, but I built a surprisingly complex app in under 20 minutes for about $7 in credits—and for validating ideas fast, I genuinely think Emergent is the real deal.
