In this video, I spent $100 on Arcads to see if it’s actually worth it for real marketing—especially when you can get AI models elsewhere for way cheaper. I tested the whole platform end-to-end: pre-built actors, custom actors generated from a prompt, product integration, templates, and the different “UGC-style” presets like unboxing POV. The big goal was simple: can this replace hiring UGC creators, and does the $100/month price make sense? What I found is pretty clear. The pre-built templates (like the unboxing POV) can look shockingly real—the lighting, hand movement, and even product glare are good enough that I wouldn’t question it in an Instagram feed. Custom actors are a mixed bag: for talking-head videos they look more “AI” (stiff head movement, less human voice, frozen backgrounds), but they’re surprisingly strong for product placement—like making the actor wear a specific hoodie or hold a can. Arcads also includes Nano Banana Pro, which lets you recreate competitor-style image ads with your product up to 100 times per day, plus translation tools with autodub or lip sync. My verdict: not worth it for casual YouTube creators, but for e-commerce brands testing lots of ads, it’s a no-brainer if you’re already spending more than $100/month on UGC.
