About This Video

I reviewed the Nanoleaf Pegboard Desk Dock to see if it’s actually a smart upgrade for a gaming setup—or just a flashy RGB desk toy. It’s basically the fanciest way I’ve seen to display and organize desk peripherals like a headset and controllers, and it does it with a dual-faced design: one side is a pegboard for customization, and the other is a clean light-facing panel for pure aesthetics. In the box you get the board, the stand, four hooks, and a USB extension so you can reach your PC a bit easier. Where it gets interesting is the base. It isn’t just a stand—it’s a USB hub with two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and USB-C power delivery, so you can charge and connect multiple devices while keeping cables managed. The Nanoleaf desktop app setup is straightforward, it gets detected automatically, and yes, it works on Mac too. But I also called out the big drawbacks: the cable is permanently attached (no removable USB-C), there are no color options (a white version would be an instant hit), and the board is small—realistically one headset or two controllers. My rating is “try it out” because it’s niche and priced like a luxury desk piece, but if you’re like me and you love going over the top, it’s a really cool addition.
