In this video I’m covering one full month with the iPhone 16 Pro Max—what worked, what didn’t, and what felt like a straight up questionable decision. Honestly, Apple didn’t change a ton this year, so I focus on the stuff that actually matters in real use: the new 48MP ultra wide (arguably my favorite lens), 4K 120fps (even in ProRes), the new Camera Control button, and the battery/charging upgrades like 25W MagSafe. I also talk about my biggest complaints, starting with Apple AI. I’m a long-time Apple guy, but the way they advertised AI as a main feature while rolling it out in waves (and even supporting the iPhone 15 Pro) is… yeah, very Apple. Then there’s Camera Control: when it works, it’s a clutch “central hub” for camera settings, but it also makes the phone less ergonomic because I kept pressing it by accident. My verdict system is simple: if you’re on an iPhone 14 Pro or older, I’d wait for a sale. If you’re on a 15 Pro, I say pass—unless you’re a content creator who’s buying this phone for the camera.
