In this video I’m changing up my desk setup with accessories from Balolo, a German-based company that makes some of the most high-quality desk products I’ve ever used. Everything I’m using here is manufactured in Germany and I went with the walnut finish—walnut is my all-time favorite because it adds that warm color cast that just complements a clean setup. The core of the whole system is the Balolo Setup Cockpit: basically a desk shelf with multiple attachment points so you can build it out exactly how you want. I break down the desk shelf itself (medium vs large) and why size matters depending on your desk. The large is 45 inches long, 9.1 inches deep, and 4.7 inches tall, and on my 72x30 desk it takes up about a third of the space—so I definitely recommend a monitor arm to save even more room. Then I go through the accessories I chose: the large tray (I keep my 16-inch MacBook Pro and SSD there), a swivel headphone holder (perfect for my AirPods Max), a MagSafe holder for charging and keeping notifications in view, the new tablet holder for my iPad Pro, a catch-all tray for the little stuff, and metal cable holders for clean cable management. After using it all, my efficiency went way up because everything stays exactly where I need it, and the customizability makes it worth it if you’re willing to invest.
