New Year’s Day means one thing in my world: fabric shopping, and I’m not even sorry about it. In this vlog, I take you with me to The Sewing Studio in Maitland, Florida (near Orlando) for their bi-annual New Year’s Day sale—aka my favorite kind of tradition. This is a family-owned shop with drool-worthy fabric on a normal day, but the sale makes it extra dangerous in the best way. We walk around the store together so you can gawk right along with me and get a feel for what they carry. After the shop tour, I bring everything back to my sewing room for a proper fabric haul and a chat about what I’m planning to make. I share what caught my eye, why I picked it, and how I’m thinking about turning it into actual projects (because buying fabric and sewing fabric are… two different hobbies).
