Last week we did simple alterations to thrifted clothes (see it here: https://youtu.be/LZgx8hTRj6Y) and THIS WEEK we are tackling what I original set out to alter in that video: my Modcloth haul. Watch as I make small alterations to 6 different items I bought in the Modcloth Summer Sale while talking about simple tweaks you can make to get a custom wardrobe you love without the work of sewing from scratch. *Sign up for my free newsletter and get the inside track on my projects between posts! https://show-and-tell-meg.kit.com/42e7a0498d //My Social Media\\ Blog: ShowandTellMeg.blogspot.com/ Ravelry: https://www.ravelry.com/people/showandtellmeg Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/showandtellmeg/ Email: showandtellmeg(at)gmail.com Look Busy by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

About This Video

In this video I’m finally doing what I meant to do in last week’s thrift-flip episode: I’m altering my ModCloth haul from the Summer Sale. Instead of sewing a whole wardrobe from scratch (because… who has the time?), I’m showing you how I make small, strategic tweaks to six different pieces so they actually fit my real body and my real life. Think: quick, practical fixes that take something from “cute on the hanger” to “I will genuinely wear this.” I walk through the mindset I use when I’m altering store-bought clothes: identify the one or two things that are making the garment feel off (length, gaping, waist placement, strap situation, etc.), then choose the simplest alteration that gives the biggest payoff. The goal is a custom-feeling closet without turning every item into a full-on sewing project. If you’ve ever loved the vibe of a piece but not the fit, this is your reminder that a few small changes can make it feel like it was made for you.
