hiii! in this cozy UBC day-in-my-life, I finally forced myself back on campus after basically disappearing for almost a month (senioritis is so real). I start the morning with a little bagel breakfast sandwich and a matcha, then head to my first class because I have a midterm coming up and I needed to catch up on lectures and make sure I’m not missing anything. I also grab a blue chip cookie from the Nest (they’re genuinely so good), and I talk about how I’ll sometimes skip lectures that are recorded—because I can watch them later at 1.5x speed, absorb the same info, and save time. between classes, I make a study plan for my midterm since I like giving myself lots of time and mapping out exactly which chapters I’m covering on which days (and somehow I only have one midterm this semester… so chill). I also try to be brave and film in front of people because it’s my senior year and I’m realizing I’m going to miss school a lot once I start working. being back on campus made me reflect on how much I stayed in my comfort zone—then I randomly discovered the earth ocean science museum (dinosaur + rocks!!) and it made me wish I explored more. the day ends back home in comfy clothes, finishing my machine learning assignment, and a little book haul moment (yes, I judge books by their cover).
