New year, new office… for basically the 18th time. In this video I’m turning a super boring corporate office into a dedicated YouTube studio—because as much as I don’t “want” another space, I genuinely need it right now. The big motivator was real life: I had a last-minute livestream and realized how impossible it is to get clean audio + focus at home when my toddler can hear my voice and wants to party at the door. So I grabbed my mic, laptop, iPhone setup, ran to the empty office, and honestly… the silence was everything. I walk you through the messy, real process of getting this place functional: moving in late (after paying rent for way too long), building a minimal desk setup, prioritizing a legit A-roll shot, and making the room work even when space is tighter than I remembered. I’m chasing depth, proper key + fill with big domes (no cheaping out), storage that doesn’t make my brain feel cluttered, and a top-down setup. And yes—the neon peach returns. Seeing it again made me weirdly sentimental, and it reminded me why I still love the craft-y 10% stuff even when LED is the practical answer. This whole video is also a little life update + creative reset: I’ve been in mom mode, deep in AI coding, scrapping videos that felt “algorithm-first,” and reminding myself the only way back is to show up and just make the videos again.
