I love custom keyboards and I love watching anime—so when I saw the Chikey Slice68HE (Neon Genesis inspired), I had to do a full honest review with real facts and zero sugar coating. In this video I unbox it, check what you actually get in the box (manual, Type‑C braided cable, and a random ribbon cable… that’s it), and then I go through the big stuff people care about: build quality, switch feel, typing sound, RGB, and the little quirks no one mentions. It’s a ~$200 full aluminum board with 5 layers of sound dampening, gasket design, 8K polling, and 0.05mm rapid trigger, plus web-based software for tuning. RGB-wise, it’s pretty decent—middle of the pack compared to boards I have like the AULA F75 (brighter) and the Weikav WK68 (lower). The LED diffuser setup spreads color nicely, and the bottom diffuser adds a clean touch. Sound surprised me too: hall effect boards usually don’t sound great, but this one has a deeper clacky profile that I genuinely prefer—though the spacebar needed maintenance. I also show a quick stabilizer fix (clipping the extra legs and lubing) and the final sound test. My verdict: premium looks and build, great theme, good sound for HE—but the screws hidden under rubber feet, weak accessories for the price, and keycaps not doing the RGB justice are real downsides.
