People often talk about the need to give children the future-proof skills. But what does that even mean? How can we invest into kids meaningfully? In this session we will discuss and ideate what it takes to actually empower the future generation and how to impactfully create structures that allow them to start building their professional portfolios already from kindergarten. _____________ Mari-Liis is a curious mind, innovator and community builder at heart. She is the co-founder and CEO of Vivita Creativity Accelerator for Children, empowering children - the future founders, innovators and impact makers - with the confidence to imagine and skillset to create the future. VIVITA runs innovation and creativity studios for kids in 7 countries and 4 continents across the world. Ede Schank Tamkivi is Product Manager at NoVa, a study platform for youngsters, and a cofounder of kood / Jõhvi, the new coding school. Ede has been running several education projects aimed at empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. She started her career as a journalist in press, radio and TV, has conducted academic research in the field in diaspora studies and has published a few books. sTARTUp Day is the biggest business festival in the Baltics, bringing together over 4000 startup-minded people to celebrate entrepreneurship in the smart city of Tartu.
