Also, go to your local shop and talk to the homies there, they will say the same and give you more recommendations too. A good rule of thumb when buying gear, if a local boardshop carries it, it's usually a trusted brand in snowboarding. About This Video

This one was my first time snowboarding in Japan… and of course it turns into absolute chaos because I only got three laps. I’m running full POV the whole time, just trying to soak it in, figure out the mountain flow, and get a feel for how riding in Japan hits compared to what I’m used to. It’s not some perfect “cinematic Japan edit” — it’s literally me showing you what it’s like when you’re on a tight schedule and still trying to send it. I break down the basics of how I’m set up too, because people always ask: I’m 6’1”, 175lbs, regular stance, 15/-15, size 12 boots. For boards and bindings, I’m keeping it simple with stuff I actually trust—Burton boards and Union bindings—because I want gear that’s predictable when everything else (new resort, new snow, new vibe) is unfamiliar. Biggest takeaway: even if you only get a couple laps, you can still make it a day if you stay loose, pick smart lines, and just have fun with it.
