About This Video

Good morning from Tokyo — in this japan diaries vlog I take you along on a full shopping day that starts with a quick Akihabara stop (because we transferred there) and ends with the absolute chaos of Shibuya at night. I do a little check-in + fit-check, grab a simple Starbucks breakfast (that little cream donut was so good), then I’m straight into anime shopping and picking up small bits for friends before warming up with udon because I was feeling a bit under the weather. Warm soup for the sore throat = elite. After that, I spend the day thrifting through Kichijoji and Koenji — two areas I genuinely recommend if you want a chill but fun shopping day without the super touristy vibe. I hit 2nd Street (really organised, lots of branded/luxury stuff), then Mode Off (cheaper, wider range), plus a few Koenji vintage spots like an “everything under ¥900” unmanned store and another huge second-hand chain. I’m picky with what I buy (my style is honestly more Uniqlo/GU — basic but clean), but I still end up with a small Mode Off haul. To finish, we head to Shibuya for the Nintendo store mission (I was there for Zelda, obviously), get completely distracted by all the merch, and then I finally see Shibuya Scramble Crossing in real life — insane, so busy, and honestly so surreal after the quiet towns earlier.
