It was 10:30am on a Saturday and literally one of the hottest days of the week (42°C / 107°F), so I stayed home where it’s air-conditioned and just leaned into a slow, cozy reset. I started the day the only way I know how: coffee (new ONA beans), then I got stuck into some holiday homework—mainly modern history—using a notebook to track my progress. I also made a super easy Japanese beef bowl that I make all the time (onion + simple sauce + beef + eggs), because homebody days need low-effort comfort food. The big desk upgrade in this vlog is unboxing and setting up the FIFINE AM8 PROT streaming/gaming microphone (gifted by FIFINE, and I’m testing it for my friend). I talk through what I like about it—sleek design, RGB, solid build, and how easy it is to install with the boom arm. After that, I do a little Animal Crossing session and give you a tour of my island “Kauai Bay,” which I’m building into a countryside Japanese-themed town. To finish, I show a mini haul (plants, a Muji A3 calendar, and my Rollbahn Totoro notebook) and wrap the day with an evening study session to get ahead before term starts.
