About This Video

In this vlog I brought you along to my end-of-year K-pop showcase day in Sydney, and it was honestly such a big one because I performed twice. I’d been working for eight weeks and it was my first time doing two courses, so I had a TXT set ("Chasing That Feeling" + the MAMA Awards dance break) and a Stray Kids mix (JJAM + Walking on Water). I was also super under the weather, which was the worst timing, so the morning was basically: big breakfast, meds, and packing my duffle with outfits, accessories, snacks, and even contacts just in case I couldn’t see on stage. After travelling in (Central Station upgrades are actually so nice), it was straight into signing in, grabbing our free KMIX shirt, and then four hours of rehearsals. I show a bunch of behind-the-scenes practice clips, the performer meeting, and the chaos of getting ready on standby—because I was literally the fifth act, so it was go-go-go. The performances were intense (and my throat was killing), but the lights looked so cool and I’m still really happy I pushed through. We ended the night with cozy comfort food at Sinjeon, then Vivid Sydney lights at Darling Square, plus Filipino street food at Fire Kitchen (calamansi + ube iced tea was so good). Back home, I reflected on the clips and fancams—could I have given more energy? Yeah. But sick or not, I did the best I could, and I’m really grateful for my friends, family, and our teacher Jenny for making the whole day happen.
